Deb Sitz and Pat Makris has a Vocational Project that need your help. They need pre Kindergarten books for a package that they are giving to pre-schoolers. The package will have a Tee Shirt with Rotary on it, and reading tips. Drop the books off at the Children Center or bring them to Al’s as a collection point. Thanks for the Service above Self!

June 23rd – Cicero Chamber Golf Outing at Flagg Creek in Indian Head Park
June 24th – Rotaract Initial Meeting at Morton College, 7:45 am
June 24th – Solutions for Care Dinner at Riverside Golf Club
June 30th – Installation Luncheon at Riverside Golf Club at 12:00. Cost is $30.00
July 14th – Lisa Hernandez fund raiser, at Skylite West and for $48.00

June 28th District Governor Installation

From Rotary International:

Members of the Rotary Club of Windsor St. George, Berkshire, England, have found themselves in a sticky situation at the 2009 RI Convention in Birmingham — and they wouldn’t want it any other way.

At the convention, club members are selling stickers for £5 (about US$8) each. As each sticker is removed from a large panel, a little square of the Make Dreams Real logo is revealed. The money goes toward polio eradication.

A LinkedIn group , called Future Vision Pilot, has been created for Rotarians in the 100 Rotary districts participating in the¬†pilot of The Rotary Foundation Future Vision Plan. This online group is intended to provide a forum for discussing project ideas, sharing best practices,¬†and learning from one another’s efforts and successes before and during the pilot.

Rotarians in the pilot districts can join the Future Vision pilot group. Rotarians in both pilot and nonpilot districts can find regular Future Vision updates at www.rotary.org and sign up to receive the free monthly newsletter, Future Vision Pilot News, by e-mail.

More than 25,000 Rotarians and volunteers from 35 districts worldwide rolled up their sleeves to improve their communities as part of Rotarians At Work Day.

Started in 2006 by the late Bob Watson, past governor of District 5340 (California, USA), Rotarians At Work Day happens the last Saturday in April each year and challenges clubs around the world to carry out hands-on service efforts in their community.
