Volunteer Time:

The Anti Hunger Foundation is looking for volunteers to work on Friday, the 19th in the

Vital Bridges:

Every year, we donate personal hygiene items to a group of HIV/AIDS victims in Oak Park. This year, Pat Makris,the club sponsor, is putting a basket on the table at the head of the room for donations. She is also circulating a list of items needed. Donate generously.

December 9th – PapaSpiros, Oak Park at Lake and Oak Park Avenue at 5:30 pm. Entertainment provided and bring your vocal pipes We are also honoring two Cicero Business and Town persons with the highest award in Rotary. The Paul Harris Fellow Award. Note, there will be no daily luncheon meeting on that date.

For the second straight year, contributions toThe Rotary Foundation Annual Programs Fund (APF) exceeded US$100 million, reaching a record $114.8 million in 2007-08. Rotarians continued their generous giving to the APF while supporting other Rotary Foundation efforts, including Rotary’s US$100 Million Challenge, the Rotary Centers Major Gifts Initiative, and the Permanent Fund.
Annual giving made possible the allocation of $4.6 million in District Designated Funds to Rotary’s challenge, which will be used in the 2010-11 Rotary year.
